Hello,
I am writing this e-mail to request the removal of my name and e-mail address from your site. You have initiated contact with me over the past month, and I have not, in the past nor presently, authorized you to disclose my name and e-mail address on your website. The "disclaimer" on your website is legally-ineffective; unless you provide an alternative means of communication, you cannot merely publish, at whim, any e-mail sent to the e-mail address listed on the website. You are thus on notice that I object to the publication of any of the communications I have sent and any identifying information contained therein.

Who is Rena Durrant?

A few years later, she found herself living in England, attending some of the most far out mod and psychedelic clubs on the scene. After relocating back to the U.S., she began regularly DJ’ing, acting as a resident DJ at The 45 Club and Shout and now at Club Au Go-Go

  About me:
I come from a "legally-minded family" - or at least that's what the local newspaper called us. I'm part of the third generation to want to put the baddies away in jail, but the first woman in the family to do so and also the first one to pick law school as my route to achieving the aforementioned goal. I am obsessed with criminology and criminal law, yet not-so obsessed with the leftist viewpoints framing the former or the esoteric ponces framing the latter. I suppose I agree with Occam's razor
*; the simplest explanation is often the correct one (which also explains why I'm Atheist  * ). I'm also keen on the 1960's: I enjoy spinning the records, buying the clothes, dancing the dances, viewing the films, and reading the books. I am an ex ex-pat; it took moving to England to realize how much I love America. I am married to Glen Saxton Durrant, my one and only.

  Who I'd like to meet:
Anyone who can let me know whether the singer of the Left Banke really had a sex-change operation.

And A.D. is the abbrevation for "anno domini." Any more questions

Yes... only one more question how do you spell "abbreviation" ?

Listen bub, I'm not interested in posting all of your wisdom and to be fair,  if I were to post the North Carolina libel law, I'd have to post all the states' libel laws.  I'd have to  read them too, no doubt!  I don't know why you brought this up and I don't want to know, so please quit spamming now and go home and leave me lone. Yearn for your endless immensity of the goddamn sea, why don't you, as in your email signatures [omitted here].

So clever, yet you couldn't glean from your prior and current postings on the website that state libel law might somehow be applicable to you?

My boss? My mother? I WILL go away, but first you have to take MY NAME off YOUR website, along with all the DEFAMATORY (yes, that's a legal term, bub) statements therein.

You have copyrighted images on your website, along with the name and e-mail of an officer of a company that you feel has begrudged you.
Merely putting a disclaimer at the bottom of your website doesn't give you carte blanche to list people's e-mail addresses on your site.
As for contacting "the head" of my office, go right ahead. I'm sure they'll have a real interest in someone who is engaging in defamation
and copyright infringement!

Well, I'd write something for you, but in all honesty I think there is more
potential for harm (being sued)  than good.
It's a small company but they do have a
lot of money for their lawyers. So I would not waste any time suing them. A more
effective thing to do is look for ratings sites, like epinions and PriceGrabber.com,  and
leave negative ratings. You might also write to those sites and tell them what
happened. Sometimes they do write articles. 0r the Better Business Bureau?
But it  may be probably a bit late for that now.

That's strange that Rena got involved. I've met her but I was under the
impression she was a somewhat more reasonable person than Glen.  But then, you
probably have to be nuts to be married to such an asshole.

I work for a state government and when that fax arrived they made a big stink; some thought it was funny. This thing went all the way to the top of our department, and they had meetings and all that. It was embarrassing for me, and it’s probably not conducive to my career.
One evening, before Durrant's threat evolved, I had a lengthy email exchange with his wife; she had accosted me via email, out of the blue, and that exchange is now published.

Here's a fax of emails buycheapsoftware sent to my boss:

That Occam's razor talk is crap -- there's noting that tells us that explanations must be simple. (After all, everything might be a fractal!).
What's a fractal?  Well, It's not a HOLOGRAM :)
